Mahindra To Reveal BE Electric SUVs On February 10, 2023
Domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled its range of Born Electric SUVs under the XUV.e in the UK in August 2022. These vehicles were designed by Mahindra Advanced Design Europe studio in Oxfordshire, UK. It is reported that now the carmaker is going to showcase the same fleet of vehicles in the Indian car market on February 10, 2023.
The company will reveal these models in India just a day before the organization of the first Formula E race weekend in Hyderabad, India. It would be interesting to know that Mahindra’s Racing Factory Team has been representing India in the race since it was organized for the first time. The string of 5 new electric SUVs to be showcased by the Mahindra during the event will include XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09.
To begin with, the details of the upcoming Born Electric SUVs, let’s start with XUV.e8. Slated for launch in December 2024. It will be developed on the new INGLO platform. It will outsource its layout from Mahindra XUV700. The next BE SUV to make its debut in the Indian car market will be XUV.e9. It will be launched in April 2025 and will carry a coupe-like design.
The third BE vehicle in this array will be BE.05. It will be a sport electric vehicle and will be placed above XUV400. The major attraction of this model will be its aggressive front fascia with angular C-shaped headlamps, sharp cuts, creases, and an air duct on the bonnet. Inside the cabin, it will get large dual touchscreens and a few more. Moving to BE07. It will bridge the gap between BE.05 and XUV.e8. Identically it will look like a regular SUV. It will be launched in October 2026 and carry most of its exterior features from BE.05.
All these upcoming electronic SUVs will have an all-wheel drive system as a standard feature and will be empowered with an 80kWh battery pack.
