Comfort ride with Etios
Pros : mileage, seating comfort, city drives
Cons : simple dash, a bit louder engine
It was my cousin brother’s marriage in our home town. And as the bride belonged to one of the most well versed families of the city, my cousin was gifted a Toyota Etios diesel it was the VXD model. I was not aware much I about Etios at that time, though had heard that it was the first-ever value for money product from Toyota.
I actually saw it properly at the reception party where it was parked separately at one of the corner of the marriage lawn. You won’t believe I truly fell in love with that sedan as looked very premium from outside and also from inside the interiors were astoundingly sporty. And at that moment I just decided to have a Toyota Etios Diesel VXD in my garage. After booking, within 20-25 days we got the handover of the sedan. It’s been 3 months, and we have faced no issues at all, rather have discovered many pleasurable aspects, one of them being the seating comfort that is just heaven. There is enough room for 3 to sit at rear, with superb head room and legroom along with a great boot space that is I guess the largest in the segment.
I have also driven my friend’s Maruti Swift Dzire ZDI, but could not match the comfort of Toyota Etios top end as a driver and as an occupant at rear, whereas it’s also a bit cramped for lengthy guys. However, that not the case with my beauty. The engine is a bit noisy, if you exceed your limits, but calm when it comes to city drives. Though I have not measured the mileage that I got in city and highway, overall it’s would be around 15-18 kmpl or at times 18.5 kmpl as well.
