Toyota Etios- A new Family Member

Pros : interiors, handling

Cons : noisy engine

Toyota launched its new car Toyota Etios equipped with new feature, better handling and new and improved engine. The car is quite in ride and handling. I experienced the following points after taking a test drive.

Exteriors
The car is designed with simplicity as the headlights; tail lights and body lining are typically Toyota style. However, the v-shaped front grill makes it different from other members of its family.

Interiors
The car is huge from inside, with a newly designed dashboard and the instrument panel which is placed in centre. The cabin of the car is handy with well positioned steering wheel and semi-circular cluster including the speedometer and tachometer.

Engine
Toyota Etios comes with a 1.5L petrol engine which gives a power of 90ps @ 6500 rpm but the engine is little noisy. The engine is strong even at low speeds and comes with an electronic fuel injection mechanism. The car comes with 5-speed manual transmission.

Especial Features
Some features like sun visors and floor matting are new and fresh. It is provided with a large boot space, and the seats are very comfortable. The AC is well effective and things like trunk spoiler, side truck, leather seat covers and many other attractive features.

Safety
Toyota has taken of safety measures in Etios as it comes with ABS and air bags but only for front.

Verdict
Toyota Etios is a good car but maintenance can be a drawback.
