Toyota Etios Liva– hugely disappointed from its mileage
Pros : Looks good, comfortable, nice AC
Cons : False claims of mileage, it gives a dismal mileage of just about 11kmpl or less.
If they have made something ordinary, they shouldn’t claim hi-fi stuff about the car. Toyota has a road presence in India and its big cars like Innova and Santa Fe are so popular but the company has failed to impress buyers with the Toyota Etios Liva, particularly with its petrol engine based G variant.
Something must have gone wrong within my mind that I bought this car. I was just overly impressed with the brand name, may be. Toyota Etios G does not live up to my expectations. The 1.2L 3NR free petrol engine of the car is new gen engine but fails to perform as per modern standards. Plus, there is so much competition these days in the automobile sector. Yet, what has Toyota come up with is a vehicle that claims 15-16kmpl mileage and gives not more than 11kmpl mileage in reality (I am talking of city drive). It is utterly disturbing because the initial price of the car was taxing on my pocket. I still chose a 5 Lakhs car thinking that its running cost would be not so taxing. Alas, I am really in trouble. I admire the drive and handling of this car but maybe I was wrong in thinking that a car that drives well also performs well. You guys don’t make such mistake, it hurts!
