Cool and sophisticated Renault Duster
Pros : great design, sophisticated interiors, good comfort features
Cons : so far nothing
Finally the wait is over and Renault India has launched the much awaited compact SUV Renault Duster. I had been waiting for Duster since a long time and as soon as the company brought the SUV in the country and I booked it. I bought the RXL petrol variant of the car. However, you might be wondering why I went for petrol version and not the diesel one. The main reason behind it is that I don’t have a massive run up; therefore, diesel was not my cup of tea here.
The petrol engine of the car is also fuel efficient and manages to give out a decent mileage of 13.24 km per litre, which is quite okay for me. My Renault Duster RXL 1.6 is a five-seater compact SUV that is loaded with numerous comfort and safety features. I have a family of five and this SUV was a perfect one. The comfort in my Duster RXL 1.6 is amplified with so many advanced features comprising of air-conditioning system with rear AC vents and independent blower control, front fog lamp, power windows with illuminated switches, tilt steering column, high quality fabric upholstered seats, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 2-DIN audio system, audio controls mounted on the steering wheel and so on.
The safety department of my Renault Duster RXL 1.6 is also impressive and sports front fog lamps, rear defogger, door open warning lamp, driver seat belt reminder, central locking system, engine immobilizer, and so on. All these features lured me towards the SUV. From my side, I would definitely suggest all of you to go for Renault Duster RXL compact SUV as it is the best SUV in the market today.

Hi Udit, Have seen your comments...am also planning to buy Petrol version-RXL....I heard that delivery would be faster for petrol verson while 4 month waiting is for diesel versions... But, Air bag and ABS optios are not available in pertol versons... Have you evaluated this missing safety feature....
Renault Duster available in excellent interior with comfortable features But lack in mileage!!
Finally I find one GOOD review of the petrol duster RXL which I had shortlisted to buy. Despite googling for reviews on it, I didn't find any good reviews of it. Well I see that the post and the comments are of 2012. Now in 2014, the duster petrol RXL comes with dual air bags in the front as Velmurugan had put a question about it. I only got to test drive the 110ps diesel which I liked. So Udit, could you plese share how the duster RXL is fairing after 2 years with you. Would love to know before I purchase it. Right now I drive an Hyundai i10 1.2 Sportz..
