The cheapest SUV: Premier Rio is both good and bad
Pros : Great looks, nice interiors, affordable price and comfortable
Cons : Engine quality is not good and the acceleration and pick up are not satisfactory
Hii!! I am Anshul Choraria from Jabalpur. I want to buy an SUV and so I am taking many advices and suggestions as to which one would be the best option. Also I am taking many test drives as I want to go for the best option overall. Recently I took a test drive of the new Premier Rio GLX which has also become famous as the cheapest SUV. It was a mixed experience after the test drive of the car.
The best thing about the car is that it comes in a range in which no other SUV comes. The price of the SUV is somewhere between 5-6 lacs, I don’t remember the exact figure but yes the price is quite astounding keeping in mind that it is an SUV. I must say that this car fulfils the dream of many of owning an SUV car. Also the car is very comfortable and spacious from inside. The interiors are very cosy and very beautifully designed. I love the way the dashboard looks and also all the interior features of the car are amazing and give you a luxurious feel when you are inside. The exterior look of the car is also very bold and stylish. I would say that the looks and the price of the car are its USP.
The car also disappoints in some areas and they are the pick-up and acceleration and also the poor engine quality. The car’s acceleration and pick up of the car are so poor that it struck my mind in the first drive itself. The poor engine quality of the car also catches your attention if you have a good hand on cars and you are an experience holder in car driving.
However, the car has both good and bad qualities and I did not purchase it as I have mentioned that I wanted to go for the perfect one. But yes one can give it a second thought as it is giving too much in a very less price.
