Comfortable Maruti Swift VDI

Pros : comfortable interiors, nice looks, mileage

Cons : lack of numerous safety features

Maruti India has been doing quite well in the Indian car bazaar since a long time. Being an Indian, I am a true fan of Maruti Suzuki as I proudly own Maruti Alto. Now, it time to change and Maruti Swift has been my favorite in the recent times. Many of my friends have Maruti Swift and even I wish to own one. Next week, I would hopefully book Maruti Swift VDI. This is the base diesel variant of the hatchback.

I have a daily run up of about 40km; therefore, diesel variant was the best choice for me. This variant although does miss out on numerous safety features like anti lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution system, airbags, front seat belt pretensioner etc. but, due to the absence of these features, the price tag of the Maruti Swift VDI is easy on my pocket. The engine is quite efficient and gives out a superb mileage of 22 km per litre. I have taken the test drive of this variant and believe me, the performance of the car on road is absolutely smooth and stable. The brakes I found here are impressive and seriously very responsive.

The interiors of the Maruti Swift VDI are comfortable as well. The air conditioning of the car is very powerful. The power steering is easy and hassle free and power windows make things more easy and nice. The car also has central locking system, ample of luggage storage, digital meter, remote fuel lid and boot opener, vanity mirror and the list goes on. I like this car and would bring home the hatchback very soon. If you have plans for hatchback, go for Swift.
