The “Big Boss” of passenger car market Maruti Suzuki has written another golden chapter in its timeline by launching yet another mass segment car christened Maruti Alto 800. As it is obvious form the name, this new infant in the Maruti Suzuki India family has the good things of Alto and M800. In fact the car comes at the time when I am seriously thinking of a new car. The CNG variant offer is such an offer that I could not resist and will sure book the Alto 800.

My Choice goes to Maruti Alto 800 CNG LXi without doubt.  First of all, it has CNG factory fitted kit and the second thing is feature’s list. Let me tell you why I went for CNG variant only. Nowadays, CNG fuel is safe and easy on pocket.  Since I stay in Delhi, there is good number of filling stations. On the feature front it is not a very basic small car like Tata Nano. The new Alto comes with air conditioner, front power windows and power steering. This trio power combination makes me fall in love of the car. Besides these, I can also operate the fuel lid and boot opener remotely.

The option of upgrading to a safer Maruti Alto 800 is also available in the model range. I can also get that Safest variant if I wish for. Further there is small but tested 796cc 3 cylinder engine that ensures 48 ps of peak power and 96nm of top torque. With 5 speed manual gearbox attached, I can hope for around 27-30 kmkg of mileage through the factory fitted CNG trim. And last but not the least at all is Maruti Alto 800’s affordable price. I am going to sell my old Alto and get a new one with new and great features. I have already booked the car and now waiting for the telephone call from the dealership.
