Hyundai i20 Diesel: Expensive, but worthy

Pros : Comfortable, stylish, powerful and fuel efficient

Cons : Low ground clearance for city streets, road stability and bit expensive

Hello friends, after getting convinced from my friends, I am now a member of Hyundai family. I purchased Hyundai i20 Diesel Sportz variant of this car. I preferred diesel as I am usually in and out of the city. I think that the price tag of this car should have been slightly lesser. The variant which I bought cost Rs. 7,10,000 on-road.

From the point of comforts, Hyundai i20 is best in class, it has got sufficient leg-room and headroom. However, I think that the 165 mm ground clearance of this car is not compatible with mountain shaped speed brakers. The 1.4 liter diesel engine of this car is totally distinguished and is boosted with outstanding 90 Ps power and sufficient torque. The mileage that I am getting currently is around 17 – 18 kmpl in city and around 20 kmpl on highways.

One would compliment Hyundai for making i20 one of the enticing products in its segment. The elegant design of makes feel that I own the best in class products. Interiors of this car are mated by best quality fabrics and the dash board quality is also quite adorable.

This 5 star safety rating product is blessed with many features like; Child Safety Locks, Central Locking, Driver Airbag, Key less Entry etc. Experience with Hyundai i20 on highways is always fantastic. While you drive on highways you have to stress less on the acceleration paddle. In addition, the engine sound is almost nil while windows are packed. Moreover, while you shift transmission from 1st to 2nd gear, you can experience amazing pick up in this car. But yes, in comparison to car like Skoda Fabia and Volkswagen Polo, the road stability I felt is not much impressive.
