My Ford Figo Review

Pros : Handling, fuel efficiency, stylish appearance and Ford’s brand image.

Cons : congested rear seat row, dull headlamps, low dealer satisfaction.

Ford Figo houses some of the best in class exterior and interior features. This hatchback could give Ford a boost in terms of market sales. The advanced third generation features increases the customer satisfaction. Also the total 8 variants in petrol and diesel category give ample choice to choose the desired car.

Exteriors: I sincerely adore the way Ford Figo comes loaded with features. The impressive and bold headlight panel is attractive and the halogen lamps do their work well. Overall a soothing colour blend is provided even in the front and rear bumpers and the side mirrors. The tail lights enhance the sporty looks, though the rear spoiler is a little small. I simply adore the way Ford had put the new looks at every corner of this beauty Ford Figo.

Interiors: The interior cluster and panel gives Ford Figo a complete modern look. These cars today in the B Plus segment; I feel lack in the ample space requirements in the rear seats. The requirement for the armrest and the hear headrest as a middle passenger was felt by me. The front legroom is sufficient and the driver seat was surprisingly comfortable indeed.

Engine:  This petrol hatchback Ford Figo is powered by a 1.2 L, 1196 cc engine. It boasts a top power of 71 PS  churning at 6,250 rpm and an ability to produce a peak torque of 102 Nm at 4,000 rpm. I found the gear transmission smooth and it comes with a 5 speed manual transmission. Even the steering wheel was really smooth which makes long drives a pleasurable experience.

Safety: Ford has definitely lived upto the expectation to provide safety at an affordable price. I really felt safe as the Rapid Decelerating Warning comes effectively every time I speed up my car above 96 kmph. The handling and control coordination is definitely enhanced with the ABS, EBD and disc brake provision. The features such as central locking and warnings for seat belt and door ajar add much more secure feeling when in you are car.

Special features: The combination of amazing technically advanced and desirable features at an affordable could compel the customers to buy it. The other special features which I personally adored are Lane Change Indicators, the provision on smart programmable remote key, the reliable central locking system and the speed sensing control are among a few to name. Thus in all Ford Figo is the much desired car which comes loaded with best in class handling and technical features at an affordable price tag and sincerely it gives a secure feeling on road.

Improvements required: The rear seat could be more spacious looking at the extra bulge at the exterior rear side. Also a major improvement required on my front is in the headlights as the visibly is limited to only 5- 10 feet in night at highways which is dangerous. When fully loaded the road clearance is really pathetic. Brakes were generating a lot of sound when I drove at wet roads. I also wanna comment on the poor pickup which I felt when the Air Conditioning was on in the 2nd Gear…rest all is perfect.
