I had been waiting for the launch of new Chevrolet Sail sedan since January 2012, when the company has showcased this car for the first time to the Indian customers at the Delhi Auto Expo. Soon after its launch I rushed-up to my nearby dealership and grab the opportunity of test driving the car. 

 

As per the expectation, the car is simply superb in style and overall looks. The Chevrolet Sail LT ABS is top end petrol variant which is fully loaded with all latest features of Sail sedan. Powered by a 1.2L SMARTECH Petrol engine, the car responses superbly to the throttle press with a performance boosting power of 86 PS @ 6000 RPM along with a peak torque of 113 NM @ 5000 RPM. The five speed manual transmission is standard; however, an optional automatic transmission (like offered with Maruti Swift Dzire Vxi) would have been a good option. 

 

Being the top end variant, the car is equipped with all advanced safety features such as ABS (antilock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), dual front SRS airbags and many more. One more mentionable feature is its new age music system which come equipped with Bluetooth enabled music streaming and mobile hand free, which enables you to pair up to 5 phones with it (surely a class leading feature considering its non-availability in the competing models).
