I am glad I bought beat diesel last year

Pros : Different looks, excellent fuel economy

Cons : Lack of rear windows

 I got myself Chevrolet Beat diesel last year during Diwali, I am glad that I made that decision and bought myself a diesel car and too at introductory price at which the hatchback was launched in India. Best thing about Beat is its distinctive look and an excellent fuel efficiency that it offers. The 1.0 litre, three pot diesel engine has a displacement of 936cc and generates maximum power of 62.5 PS at 4000 Rpm along with maximum torque of 160.26 Nm at 1750 Rpm.

I guess the power of the engine is a little less, it should have been tad more than this. Fuel economy figures are high, with minimum of 18.5 kmpl in city and around 24.3 kmpl on highway. The engine is mated to a manual transmission, air conditioner is also very effective, though I had to splurge some extra bucks to get the CD player fitted in the car. Along with it I also got some accessories affixed on the hatchback to make it look more appealing. Safety features are important too so I am now thinking to get ABS on my hatch which would make it more safe car to ride.
