Renault Duster V/s Ford Ecosport

Pros : compact, crossover power, low price tag

Cons : Expensive brand

I am in search of a compact crossover that could give me the feel of SUV power and can also be economical at cost. Looks of both Ecosport and Duster are stunning. Renault Duster has the major advantage of its increased size, space and power, however Ford Ecosport can be called as the product from more established and trustworthy car maker in the Indian sub-continent compared to the newly arrived Renault.

The Duster would be available in 1.6 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine, while the Ecosport would be offered in the 1.0 liter petrol and 1.5 liter petrol engine. In terms of style, I guess the Ecosport is going to be more adorable. Prices of both these compact SUVs are speculated to be in the range of Rs. 7 – 10 lakhs, but I expect that something in the range of 6 – 7 lakh would be fine for me; else I will have to switch for Ertiga MUV.
