Small SUV for a poor man with acute desires

Pros : Sporty looking outskirts, nice exteriors, powerful a/c, decent mileage, good ride quality and handling at high speeds

Cons : Compact size, noisy engine and boxy shape

I was looking for a compact SUV in order to fulfill my daily need of 30 kms drive. The basic characteristics that I need in my car are: ample space for 5 people, good mileage, durability and be a pleasure to drive and should have a new refreshing face to amaze me. I was surfing the net and finally my search stopped at Premier Rio, at first glance it looked interesting to me and finally I took test drive the very next day and believe me my long awaited desire to hold a distinct car for my family came true.


Sporty exteriors and well refined interiors gave me a nice feeling on the very first touch. I drove it on NH8 though the road was bumpy and full of potholes but nice suspensions didn’t make me fell much of the vibrations, really nice music system and exceptionally good handling at high speeds made it a good drive.


Space inside is still an issue with Rio but it’s enough for 5 people to sit comfortably. Mileage is close to 10 while driving in city and is able to fetch 13 on highways pretty nice for an SUV to give. My overall comprehensive verdict on Premier Rio after a test drive of 110 km will be: it’s a nice car to own, if you are looking for something refreshing and love SUV’s the way I do but don’t have a bulky budget to own a huge fuel guzzling raunchy off roader then it’s a car for you. Low on budget and high on deliveries is Rio’s motto.
