Safety not the strong point in Maruti Alto 800
Pros : compact looks, decent interiors and low price
Cons : less safety features
The launch of Maruti Alto 800 is approaching. The car is scheduled to be launched this festive season and it’s around the corner. The company has stopped producing its highest selling model, Maruti 800 and launching this one in place of it. My major concern for this one is the safety features. I don’t known, but so far the reviews of this compact car have been humble and the safety department has been scoring quite low. According to the fresh reports that I have read around the internet, the car will have a responsive and strong braking system and seat belts for all passengers. But, the advanced safety features like anti lock braking system and airbags for the driver and front co-passengers, which are present in almost every car you see today, might go missing from this one. This can actually cost Maruti Suzuki quite a more consumers than it can expect. Car customers like me who wish to have more safety features in the car would like to see some more in Maruti Alto 800.
But I guess other features, which are expected to be present in the car might push to buy this one. The first thing that is attracting me is the price factor. The car is said to be priced between Rs. 2 to Rs. 3 lakh that is perfect for my budget. Looks of the car appear to be compact and not messy. It’s simple and very sleek. On the other hand, the interiors of the new Maruti Alto 800 will be coming with air conditioning system, power steering and power windows for the front and hopefully central locking system supporting the safety department.
