Volkswagen to bet on Polo Allstar During Festive Season
With festive season standing next door car makers have started making their preparation to exploit the situation with luring offers. In this series German car maker Volkswagen has opened its cards to commemorate the occasion. It is reported that during festive season company will launch the special edition of its hatchback Polo christened as Polo Allstar in Indian car market. This trim of Polo has been already showcased by car maker during the promotion of UEFA European Championship and is one of the 9 upcoming products by the German group.
According to sources the Polo Allstar will undergo only contemporary cosmetic changes and will continue with existing engine configuration of 1.5 litre TDI diesel engine pumping the power of 90 bhp and torque of 230Nm. The transmission system is mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. Moving towards cosmetic changes that would be introduced in Polo Allstar wil include newly developed alloy wheels, Allstar badges throughout the B-Pillar of hatchback, headlamp washers, new fog lamps on the exteriors. On the interiors it will embellish heated seats, automatic climate control and few more. As far as price of Volkswagen Polo Allstar is concerned nothing has been so far disclosed by the maker, however it is speculated to be priced at slightly high price as compared to existing version of Volkswagen Polo which is being offered in range of Rs. 5.33 lakh to Rs. 8.47 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi).
Apart, from this special edition the German maker is also planning to make its entrance in SUV and crossover segments. According to reports the first one to make its debut in Indian car market will be Volkswagen Tiguan which recently succeed in scoring five stars in NCAP test. Following it will be a compact SUV which will be launched to compete against the dominating Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta.
