Volkswagen Taigun’s production soon to be triggered
Volkswagen is busy expanding its portfolio, and the latest addition in the VW range would be the compact SUV, Taigun. The car has been given thumbs-up for the production and is expected to hit the global car bazaar by 2014. This one will be manufactured in Brazil and is actually based on the famous Volkswagen platform. The car will get a tough competition from Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster. Nothing has been finalized as yet, but according to the rumors in the market, the car will be powered by 1 litre of turbocharged three cylinder petrol unit churning out 108BHP of maximum power along with 175Nm torque.

Fresh reports suggest that this compact SUV will touch the 100kmph speed mark in 9.2 seconds with an impressive top speed of 186km per hour. What is more interesting to hear is that the car is promising a very alluring mileage of 22km per litre. This concept car, Taigun by Volkswagen is quite proportionate as far as its dimensions are concerned and the exteriors surely catch your attention in a single glance. The car is expected to feature 17 inches of alloy wheels with a long wheelbase of 2470mm.

Volkswagen Taigun will come with a very vivid and comfortable cabin space for the occupants. However, so far the concept model has been revealed, so few changes could be expected after the official production. The pricing details have been kept under the hood until now, but it is expected that the company might drop-in few hints about the cost of this compact SUV. Also, there is no news about the launch in India, but after being officially launched in Brazil; the car might be rolled out in India and China as well.

It is only concept model so far and will take time of around 2 year for launch. Before it Ecosport will be capable to set-up tremendous market.
