Volkswagen Jetta 2015: Launch confirmed on February 17, 2015
As reported earlier German car maker Volkswagen, is getting ready to strengthen the weakening roots of its luxurious sedan Jetta in Indian car market by launching its facelift version. It is reported that the launch event would be held at Mumbai on February 17, 2015. The cosmetic changes are subtle and have been offered on the exteriors and interiors and no changes have been offered under the bonnet.
It will continue the existing engine configurations in both petrol and diesel variants which means that the petrol and diesel trims of the facelift Jetta will be boosted with same 1.4 litre TSI and 2.0 TDI engines respectively. The petrol trim boosts the power of 138 bhp and torque of 200 Nm, while the diesel churns the power of 148 bhp and torque of 320 Nm. Both the engines would be offered with existing six speed manual transmission system.
On the exteriors it will receive revised headlamps and front grille, refreshed front bumper along with rectangular fog lamps. It is speculated that the headlights might be offered with LED daytime running lights. The side profile may witness new alloy wheels whereas the rear portion may receive newly developed tail lights along with new rear bumper. Inside the cabin it will receive multi-functional steering wheel, chrome garnished dashboard blessed with additional features like new air conditioner vents, ambient lightening system and new climate control system. The centre control might receive piano black color scheme followed by superior quality upholstery.
