Volkswagen Confirms the Launch of Ameo Diesel
Today it has been the day of mixed feelings of the enthusiasts of Volkswagen who were waiting for the launch of Ameo diesel in Indian car market on September 27, 2016. Unfortunately due to some unavoidable circumstance the Indian arm of German car maker today could not launch the compact sedan on its proposed launch date. But, the consolation news for Ameo aspirants is that company has confirmed its launch either on September 30, 2016 or during the first week of October 2016. This confirmation by car maker would have definitely acted like an ointment on the wounds of seriously injured person.
The proposed version Ameo diesel is reported to be enriched with 1.5 litre TDI turbo-diesel engine that churns the power of 110 bhp and develops the torque of 250Nm. The transmission system will be headed by five speed manual gear transmission system and might be also offered with six speed DSG automatic transmission system. The diesel engine offered in Ameo is also empowered with Volkswagen Vento.
Although the diesel Ameo looks like the Ameo petrol launched in month of June this year, but still it embellishes features that are not offered by other compact sedans in Indian car market. The noteworthy features offered in Ameo diesel include rain sensing wipers, static cornering lights, centre armrest for front seat passengers, power windows at both front and rear portions, rear air conditioner vents, automatic climate control, air conditioner with dust and pollen filter, adjustable and retractable ORVMs followed by turn indicators mounted on ORVMs, cooled glove box, telescopic steering and many more.
Apart from above mentioned features Volkswagen Ameo also embellishes plethora of safety features including ABS+EBD as standard feature followed by rear view camera, parking sensors, fog lights, lane change indicator and few more.
