Toyota to commence production of Innova Crysta Petrol from July, 2016
After receiving more than 20,000 bookings of Innova Crysta within two weeks of its launch in India, Japanese carmaker is reported to commence the production of Crysta petrol variant in India from the second week of July and will launch the same in August this year to overcome the restriction on driving of diesel vehicles with more than 2,000 cc displacement in various cities of India.
Soon to be added petrol trim will continue the engine configuration offered in its erstwhile version i.e. 2.7-litre engine boosting the power of 166 PS and peak torque of 245 Nm, is likely to be mated with six speed manual transmission system.
Currently, the heart of Innova Crysta is powered by dual engine, i.e. 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre diesel engines. The 2.4-litre diesel engine churns the power of 148bhp and torque of 243 Nm whereas 2.8-litre diesel engine boosts the power of 172 bhp and peak torque of 360 Nm. Both the engines are equipped with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic gearbox. In terms of safety MPV features ABS+EBD and three airbags as standard in all its trims.
