Toyota Innova to be Christened as Innova Cross
It is reported that Toyota Kirloskar Motors, the Indian alliance of Japanese car maker is all set of showcase generation next Innova during Indian Auto Expo 2016 after which it will be launched in Indian car market sometimes during the middle of year. Apart from new power train of 2.4 GD engine the new Innova will also undergo various changes offered on both exterior and interiors. The generation next Innova is already on sale in Indonesia car maker where it has been priced higher than the existing version of Innova and therefore it is speculated that the same pricing strategy will also be adopted by car maker while it will be launched in India.
Moving ahead the reports also reveal that Indo-Japanese will however continue the sale of existing Innova also in Indian car market and after launch of new Innova it will named as Innova Cross continuing the same engine configuration of in-line-four cylinder, 2,494 cc engine boosting the power of 100 bhp and torque of 200 Nm. However with an objective to make it look different from existing version of Innova, it will also embellish additional features on exteriors including body cladding and roof rails giving aggressive look similar to Etios Cross from Toyota.
It would be interested to know that Innova has been one of the best selling vehicles from Japanese car maker but now with new Innova slated for launch with speculated price increase the Indian alliance is little bit concern about its success in India. And, therefore it is decided to continue to the existing version of Innova as Innova Cross to enjoy the same success.
