Toyota Innova Crysta trails Innova in Sales
With petrol variant ready launch during next month, Toyota Innova Crysta has become one of the hottest stars in Indian car market which has succeeded in ruling over the hearts of Indian car enthusiasts. According to recent industry reports the refreshed MPV has received more than 30,000 bookings since its launch, during the first week of May this year. The success of Innova Crysta can be witnessed from the fact that its sales are almost double as compared to it’s erstwhile version. It would be interested to know that because of ban on diesel vehicles with more than 2000 cc displacement capacity, Innova Crysta is not being sold in Delhi-NCR and Kerala.

Currently Innova Crysta is being sold in diesel variant empowered with A2.4 litre diesel engine that boosts the power of 149PS and torque of 343 Nm, mated with five speed manual gearbox system. The another diesel engine option offered in 2.8 litre diesel engine that churns the power of 174 PS and torque of 360Nm, and mated with six speed automatic transmission system. The petrol variant is proposed to debut during next month is reported to be empowered with 2.7 litre engine which will be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system followed by an option of six speed automatic transmission system.

According to sales statistics revealed by TKM, during the months of May and June it sold out 5,028 and 4,144 units of Toyota Innova. Whereas during the same period 7,259 and 8,171 units of Innova Crysta were sold respectively. The sales figures are however encouraging for company as it has successfully sold significant units of Innova in Indian car market despite of hike in its prices.
