Toyota Innova, the best selling MPV by Japanese car maker is one of the highly awaited vehicles that are expected to be launched in Indian car market this year. The main reason behind high curiosity of car enthusiasts towards Toyota Innova is due to its entrance in next generation which will take place during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016. The first generation of Innova was launched almost eleven years back in 2005, however with changing time the MPV underwent changes according to requirements of customers. Recently the first teaser of 2016 Innova  was released by company quite early before the organisation of Auto Expo 2016, detailing all the features adorned in it. Keeping the changing environment in concern new Innova has been developed completely on new platform known as “Toyota New Global Architecture” (TNGA) which is said to be firmer and lighter than ongoing version of Toyota Innova.  

 

As Generation Next Innova is already being sold in Indonesian car market most of its features have already been leaked at different platforms. On the exterior front new Innova will be blessed with features like enlarged two plated chrome garnished hexagonal grille, new fog and projector head lamps along with LED DRLs followed by newly developed front bumper with new front appearance. Following same pattern the rear portion has also been given a new looking with boomerang shaped tail lights and new rear bumper alike front one. The side profile also receives new wheel arches with new side panels. It would be interested to know that with an objective to promote the upcoming Innova more aggressively among the car enthusiast’s Japanese car maker is also organizing a contest named as “Heritage of Innova Wall” wherein the winners will be given an opportunity to get themselves featured on “Heritage of Innova Wall” on the official website of car maker.

 

Here it one thing which needs to be mentioned specifically and which might disappoint Indian car enthusiasts about Innova is that in India, Innova will be launched only in diesel trim enriched with 2.4 lite diesel engine boosting the power of 147 bhp and 360nm. The engine will be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system and also with six speed automatic transmission system. Inside the cabin it will customized with features like captain seats for second row passengers along with flat seats for third row passengers. Apart from this additional attractions offered inside cabin will follow integration of automatic climate control, seven air bags, touchscreen infotainment with navigation system supporting connectivity with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in support, ABS+EBD and many more.
