Toyota Fortuner Fleet to be explored

Japanese car maker Toyota Motors is going to explore the fleet of its highly acclaimed SUV Fortuner by introducing few models in its based and top end variant line. In current scenario Fortuner is offered in 3.0 litre 4 cylinder, D-4D turbo diesel engine churning the power of 170  bhp at 3600 rpm and torque of 343 Nm at 1400 rpm. The engine is coated with 5 speed manual gearbox system followed by availability of automatic transmission system offered in 2WD midsized variant and 4 WD with manual transmission system.

It is reported that now company is going to offer a new 2WD manual transmission system in the base variant which will be empowered with 2.5 litre diesel engine which would be similar to its another sibling Innova and will generate the power of 142 horsepower. Apart from this another  3.0 litre engine will also be added in the top end brigade which would be coated with automatic transmissions system.

Industry experts believe that the upcoming base variant would be priced about Rs. 1 lakh lesser than the existing variant of Fortuner whereas the top end variant would be priced Rs. 1 lakh more than the current variant of Fortuner. It is expected that company will introduce the new avatars of Fortuner either during the festive season or before it.
