The 2019 Renault Duster Readying For Launch In Festive Season
The name of compact SUV Duster do not requires any introduction to introduce itself in the Indian car market. The name of Duster is regarded as the game changer not only for the French carmaker Renault but also the trend setter as trendsetter for other car manufacturing companies in India, since its inception. Now the French car maker is reported to give the living legend contemporary facelift to dominate the market despite of the cut throat competition. Recently the spies captured the compact SUV undergoing the intensive test drives, giving the complete idea about the looks of 2019 Renault Duster. The new Duster is reported to be developed strictly according to BS VI norms and is believed to be launched during the festive season in India.
Mechanically, under the hood it will be equipped with the new BSVI compliant 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine that will generate the power of 108 bhp, that means the version boosting the power of 85 bhp will be discontinued. The transmission duties would be performed by six speed manual transmission system along with an AMT version, followed by five speed manual and CVT automatic transmission for the petrol variant. The petrol variant is also reported to undergo major mechanical changes according to BSVI emission rules.
Identically the 2019 Duster looks almost same to its ongoing version, but has been upgraded with some interesting cosmetic changes. The front fascia receives enlarged bonnet, thus making the huge gap between the engine and the lid. The front fascia has been developed keeping the new proposed safety norms in the concern. The other changes offered on the front portion includes revised grille, headlamps and the bumper. The headlamp cluster will now be offered with LED DRLs and the projector headlamps.
Other major cosmetic changes introduced in the new Duster will consist of roof rails, new plastic cladding on the tailgate, newly designed alloy wheels and few more. Interestingly, among all these changes the major notable change will be the front grille which has been developed by making excessive use of chrome. The chrome garnished front grille carries the same looks as offered in its international version. As far as features inside the cabin car are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by the company. On the safety front it will be equipped with ABS+EBD, seat belt reminder, dual front airbags, speed alert and parking sensors. These safety features would be standard across all the variants.
