Tata Zica placed under the roofs of dealers
Tata Zica, the upcoming hatchback from domestic car maker Tata Motors has already grab attention of Indian audiences quite early before its launch and is one the highly awaited launches of this year. As reported earlier the hatchback will be launched during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 scheduled to be held in February at New Delhi. But, interestingly the hatchback has been dispatched to dealers for showcase and test drives. The reports also reveal that bookings of same will commence immediately after its launch during the Auto Expo 2016 being organised in Delhi.
Based on company’s latest Impact Design Concept, which is considered as modified version of Xo platform that was used in developing Indica hatchback. Zica will be available in both petrol and diesel powertrains comprising of 1.2 litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine boosting the power of 83.8 bhp and torque of 114Nm. The diesel trim will be empowered with 1.05 litre three cylinder Revotorq diesel engine developing the power of 69 bhp and torque of 140Nm. Both the engines will be coated with five speed manual gearbox, and speculated to be equipped with AMT transmission system later this year. The hatchback is said to be spruced with Multi Drive features namely ECO, City and Sport as offered in Bolt hatchback and Zest sedan.
It will also be blessed with contemporary features like Harman infotainment system along with 8 speakers, electronic ORVM, cooled glove box and Steering mounted audio controls for telephony. The list of features does not end here and the hatchback also sports safety features like ABS, EBD, and Corner Stability Control. With speculated price varying from Rs. 3.6 lakh to Rs. 5.66 lakh (ex-showroom price) Zica will compete against Hundyai i10, Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Chevrolet Beat.
