Tata To Gift Sierra SUVs to Indian Women’s Cricket Team
The domestic carmaker Tata Motors is all set to launch the refreshed Sierra SUV in India on November 25, 2025. To make the launch of Sierra more exciting, the carmaker has decided to present the first production unit of the Sierra to the Indian Women's Cricket Team, celebrating their ICC World Cup victory. The refreshed Sierra is reported to come equipped with contemporary styling, premium features and multiple engine options, including the electronic variant.

Commenting on the decision, Tata Motors MD and CEO, Shailesh Chandra, said, “The team has inspired a nation with belief and dedication. Presenting them with the Sierra is our way of saluting their spirit.” According to the sources of the company, this would be a tribute to the resilience and achievements made by athletes. This initiative is an indication of Tata’s commitment to appreciating the country’s sporting icons through meaningful recognition.
The launch of refreshed Sierra marks the beginning of relaunching Tata’s famous products back in the market. The first generation of the Sierra was launched in 1991, and with its launch, it became an iconic SUV in India with its rugged architecture. After two decades, the Sierra is coming back in the market with a five-door avatar, while continuing its classic design combined with the latest style and advanced technology.
Tata Motors had showcased the prototype of Sierra at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Based on the reports received from the sources, the 2025 Sierra will come equipped with
- Straight-edged profile with tall bonnet
- Signature quarter glass section inspired by the original model
- Flat tailgate with muscular rear panels
- Flush-fitting illuminated door handles
- Roof spoiler and shark-fin antenna
- Front fascia with ADAS sensor module
- Premium Cabin and Technology
Inside the cabin, the upcoming Sierra will focus on the integration of premium and technically advanced features. The interior is likely to carry features like a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, rotary drive selector with floating centre console, and a 360-degree camera with ADAS suite. The top-end variants are expected to integrate additional features like a passenger-side display to give the SUV a more appealing look.
Reports suggest that Tata Motors is considering launching the Sierra in both petrol and diesel variants in both MT and AMT versions. The company might also launch its electronic version soon, after its official launch.
