Tata Tigor CNG Ready For Launch, Starts Reaching Dealerships
According to recent reports, the spies have caught the Tata Tigor CNG parked in the yards of dealerships ahead of its launch. The homegrown carmaker is going to set the CNG variant of its best-selling compact sedan on January 19, 2022. Before this, the dealerships had commenced the bookings of the compact sedan at the down payment of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 according to the location and the variant.

Under the bonnet, the Tigor CNG will come equipped with the existing 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that churns the power of 85 bhp and the torque of 113Nm. It is believed that the CNG variant might develop slightly less power than the petrol variant. The transmission duties will be performed by a five-speed manual gear transmission system as a standard feature.
As far as the looks of CNG Tigor are concerned, according to reports revealed by the spies it looks similar to its petrol variant. It is speculated that the company will launch the CNG variant in various trims. The version seen at the dealerships is the entry-level trim with steel rims and wheel covers. It is expected that the top-end trim might receive 15-inch alloy wheels followed by ‘i-CNG’ badge mounted on the boot opener.
Inside the cabin, it looks identical to its petrol version. The dashboard and door panels receive the same grey colour treatment. As it is a CNG trim, it receives a CNG button placed under the infotainment system to switch on the preferred fuel options. The other features available inside the Tigor CNG are a Harmoan infotainment system, electronic ORVMs, power windows, rear parking sensors, a digital instrument cluster tilt-adjustable steering wheel, and a few more. The other features will be revealed on January 19, 2022, at the time of its launch.
