Tata Tiago Electric Launched, Priced Rs 8.49 Lakh
The domestic car manufacturing company Tata Motors has launched an electronic version of the Tiago hatchback in India with an introductory price of Rs 8.49 lakh. This price will be offered to only buyers of the first ten thousand units dispatched by the company. According to company sources, out of these ten thousand units of electronic Tiago, 2,000 units will be reserved for the existing buyers of Tata electronic cars. It is reported that the company will start receiving the bookings of electronic Tiago from October 10, 2022, and start the delivery from January 2023. The electronic Tiago will be offered in four trims namely XE, XT, XZ, and XZ+.
Starting with the powertrain, Tiago EV will come with an option of two battery packs including a 19.2 kWh and a 24 kWh. The variant with a 19.2 kWh battery will offer an average of 250 km on a single charge, while the variant with a 24 kWh battery will run up to 315 km on a single charge. The 19.2 kWh battery will generate a torque of 105 Nm whereas the 24kWh battery will generate a peak torque of 114 Nm.
Speaking about the design of Tiago Electronic it looks quite different from its existing version. The front fascia receives a new grille similar to the one offered in the Tigor EV. The front grille also receives an EV logo. Moving the front bumper is now updated with three slated vents for the air conditioner. The wheel design of the electronic Tiago is quite different from the electronic Tigor.
Inside the cabin, it receives the same layout as available in its regular version. However, to make it look different from the existing version, there is excessive use of blue elements. The list of other features includes a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Android Auto and an Apple CarPlay, and an automatic climate control system as standard features. It also receives ZConnect car technology with 45 connected features. This feature is not available in the regular version of Tiago. Apart from these features, other features include auto headlamps, a cruise control system, a tyre pressure monitoring system cooled glovebox, and a Harman audio system.
