Skoda Kodiaq 2022 Exits Market, Next-Gen Model Coming Soon
Skoda India has officially removed the existing version of the compact SUV Kodiaq from its website before launching its refreshed version. Earlier the Indian arm of the Czech carmaker had showcased the next generation of the Kodiaq at the Auto Expo 2025 of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January. After discontinuing Kodiaq from its website, Skoda India’s existing line-up now consists of three models: Kylaq, Slavia, and Kushaq. The discontinued model was available in a single Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim, priced at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It was powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generated 187 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Expected Launch and Upgrades
Skoda India is now focusing on the launch of the next-generation Skoda Kodiaq, which is expected to debut in the Indian market by May 2025. The new model will come with significant design updates and feature enhancements, to make its strong presence Skoda’s flagship SUV. Some of the major updates that will be introduced in the Kodiaq 2025 include:
- Revamped LED headlamps and redesigned bumpers
- 20-inch alloy wheels with rounded wheel arches and black cladding
- C-shaped LED taillights connected by a sleek LED light bar
Inside the cabin, it will get a redesigned dual-spoke steering wheel with the Skoda name, a layered dashboard made from sustainable materials, and a new gear shifter positioned behind the steering wheel. The centre console now features a wireless phone charger and a storage space with a retractable lid. The list of other technical and comfortable features include:
- 13-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system
- 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display
- Premium audio system
- Panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting
- Heated and ventilated front seats
Enhanced Safety and Performance:
On the safety front, the 2025 Kodiaq will host a bunch of features including multiple airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and hill hold assist. It may also feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including:
- Automated emergency braking
- Adaptive cruise control
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Lane assist and parking assist functions
Under the hood, the SUV will continue with the existing 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, now tuned to deliver 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. The transmission duties will be performed by a seven-speed DCT system. The availability of an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, will make it more powerful than its predecessor. With the next-generation Skoda Kodiaq set for launch, the automaker aims to cement its position in India’s premium SUV market. The updated features, enhanced safety, and improved powertrain are expected to make it a strong contender in its segment.
