Refreshed Volkswagen Jetta launched with price tag of Rs. 13.87 (ex-showroom, Mumbai)
German luxurious car maker Volkswagen has launched the refreshed version its luxurious sedan Jetta today in Indian car market with starting price Rs. 13.87 lakh (ex-showroom price in Mumbai). The new version of Jetta is an upgraded version of existing Jetta and therefore receives various contemporary changes on the exteriors and interiors. The upgraded Jetta continues with same engine combination of 1.4 litre TSI and 2.0 litre TDI in petrol and diesel trims respectively. The petrol trim is offered with manual gearbox while the diesel trim is offered with two driving options of six speed manual gearbox and 7 speed DSG dual clutch transmission system.
The front fascia on the exterior receives modified head lamps, front grille, followed by fog lamps and DRLs (offered in top end variants in diesel trim). On the rear it receives subtle changes like bootlid with mounted tail lamps. Inside the cabin it receives new flat bottomed steering wheel carried from its siblings Vento and Polo apart from this it also receives dual colored interior treatment giving the sedan an elegant appearance.
The refreshed Jetta will now compete with Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra. After the launch of refreshed Jetta German car maker will launch the generation next Jetta in Indian car market sometimes during next year.
