Ratan Tata’s dreams for Tata motors by 2020

Mr. Ratan Tata making his stance on product quality recently told media that according to current growth and expansion of company, they are determined to manufacture more reliable, finished and technically advanced products as they still lack in the quality measures set by international standards, by 2020.

Tata plans to deliver the brilliant quality products in the upcoming decade and to rejoice the customer’s demands as they plan to scale up the final product in the chief segments they work upon but maintaining international standards would be the chief priority.

Regretting the exceptional price inflation of features like automobile transmission, Tata marks this as the major cause in breaking the quality of products and a better technical output by the company. Also the high custom duty makes it totally difficult for the company to import the major components which would automatically hamper the budget. Thus the import duty should be reduced as a whole said Ratan Tata.

All these factors combine Tata Motors to build these parts on their own which is a total mess as it is not in their main business frame but still Tata is determined to generate world class quality products and more reliable vehicles working with full zeal.

Adding further he suggested a reduction in tariff barriers thus the requirement of a product could be much more easily fulfilled rather than development on spending a mammoth sum which is exceptionally not useful.

Enlightening us with the role of its British subsidiaries; the Jaguar and the Land Rover in these world class product quality plans he said that they have an excellent synchronization in manufacturing and development field and would help in it’s growth.

The sale strategy is designed and would be pushed by the mutual projects and similar platforms in the future but these Subsidiary brands maintain their separate retail strategy and would be independent in positioning as well.

Hence Tata confirmed that the Jaguar Land Rover would definitely head to an inexpensive way while Tata Motors will become a mature company producing excellent products encompassing customers need by 2020.

Some of the popular hatchback models in the Indian auto market are Ford Figo, Maruti SwiftHyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo. Apart from these popular models, cars going to hit the Indian roads this year are Toyota Etios Liva, Maruti Cervo and New Ford Fiesta.
