Next Generation BMW 5 Series caught by spies
German car maker BMW is working on bringing the next generation of its luxurious 5 series. The news regarding this was revealed by spies who witnessed the same being tested abroad. The new version of BMW 5 Series will be offered on cars that are available under this flagship including sedan, estate version, GT version and its sports version M version. As far as Indian car market is concerned car maker is selling only the BMW 5 Series M version saloon called as M5.

Going through the pictures revealed by spies it is seen that generation next 5 Series will undergo minute cosmetic changes rather than some excessive alterations. Interestingly in its new avatar the refreshed 5 Series looks slimmer and new in its proposed look. Under the bonnet new 5 Series will be offered with wide range of engine choices varying between 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder. The Indian version will however continue with same engine configuration. According to reports it would be for the first time that global version of M5 will be offered also with all wheel drive (X-Drive) option. The new avatar of 5 Series is speculated to mark its presence during the upcoming Paris Motor Show slated to held in October this year and hit Indian shores sometimes during the mid of 2017.

Talking about the looks, although spies caught completely covered unit of 5 Series but still succeeded in witnessing aggressive pointed front bonnet with steep slope, it is almost the same as offered in existing 3 Series saloon followed by headlamps merged with kidney grille. The upgraded 5 Series is based on car maker’s latest modular platform known as Cluster Architecture (CLAR). Other changes offered in new 5 Series it will embellish aluminum mixed alloy wheels with glossy black garnish, which means it will not continue the regular silver garnished aluminum mixed alloy wheels. You will also witness cross drilled brake discs revealing its improved performance.
