New Skoda Octavia images appear, launch round the corner

Skoda car Octavia is soon to appear in new styling as soon as it enters next generation. The Czech car maker has recently showed some teaser images of the new car and it seems to be more refined and stylish than the previous generation. The 2013 Octavia will be highly influenced by the Skoda Rapid that is specified for Europe. The images also shows that the new Octavia will have almost the same design cues but the shape and size will be highly refined and there are in fact lots of new changes on the Octavia. The Octavia is launched as Skoda Laura in India and is quite a popular C segment sedan. The Laura price in India starts from Rs 12.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.90 lakh.

Early new Octavia reviews based on the teasers as well as the specifications revealed that the car has the guts to really beat out its opponents. The new Octavia is a little longer marginally by 9cm and has a lot of features that distinguish it from it opponent cars. The interiors have 8 inch touch screen and the panoramic roof which is electrically operated adds fun to the drive. Another remarkable addition to the Octavia is the new safety features. This including forward collision warning and special software detects the energy level of the drive based on driving pattern and response on the road.  

Safety features also include knee airbags and airbags for the rear passengers. The new Octavia will also have a highly fuel efficient and low emission engine that produces only 89 grams of CO2 per kilometer. In terms of styling, the headlamps, bumper, fog lamps and the back light have received some considerable changes. After its Europe launch, India launch is expected and again it will be under the Laura name.
