Mercedes-Benz Launches Connoisseur’s Edition of S-Class
Mercedes-Benz India, the Indian alliance of German car maker Mercedes-Benz has launched the Connoisseur’s edition of luxurious sedan S-Class in Indian car market with the price tag of Rs. 1.21 Crore for its S350d variant and Rs. 1.32 Crore for its S400 variant. The worth mentioning feature of the Connoisseur’s edition is introduction of Night View Assist Plus system that offers safe driving during the night. The system will identify the pedestrians or any other object moving adjacent to the car. The image of these objects will be displayed in the cockpit. For this the system has been embellished with two anti-dazzle infrared lamps for collecting the information.
Another noteworthy feature offered in this special edition is integration of premium rear seat followed by extended thigh support. According to the sources of German car maker the cushion bag offers protection in the condition when the seat backrest is completely reclined. In case of any crash the cushion bag expands below the seat cushion and protects the passengers from any type of injury. The Air-Balance packages in the edition comprises of improved air filtering, fragrance and ionization inside the cabin.
Mechanically the S350d is empowered with 3.0 litre, V6 diesel engine that is capable for generating the power of 258 hp and torque of 620Nm, whereas the S 400 variant is energized with 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine that boosts the power of 333 hp and torque of 480Nm. The transmission duties in the both trims are performed b y 7G- Tronic Plus Transmission system.
