Maruti Suzuki Victors Waiting Period Extends To Two Weeks
The compact SUV Victoris, launched recently by Maruti Suzuki, has received an overwhelming response from Indian buyers. According to reports, the Indo-Japanese initiative has garnered more than 25,000 bookings within a few days of its launch. The mid-size SUV, sold through Maruti’s Arena dealerships, is positioned as a strong competitor to popular models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Introduced at an introductory price of Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the Victoris is the most premium SUV sold through the Arena network by the country’s leading carmaker. The strong response from the potential buyers has resulted in a waiting period extending up to 10 weeks. This, however, depends on factors like variant, colour, and region.
The mid-sized SUV is available in six variants and 10 colour options, making it easier for buyers to select the SUV of their choice. The SUV is offered with three different engine options — a 1,462 cc K15C petrol engine, a 1,490 cc M15D petrol motor, and a K15C petrol-CNG bi-fuel variant. Transmission options include a five-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and an e-CVT gearbox. The strong hybrid version is enriched with 4WD AllGrip technology, which makes it suitable for driving on diverse terrains.
As far as fuel efficiency figures for the Victoris are concerned, it offers an average range from 19.07 kmpl to 28.65 kmpl, depending on the engine and technology chosen. In the words of industry experts, the festive season, reduced GST rates, and special dealership offers will play a significant role in boosting Maruti’s market share in the utility vehicle segment, where it already retails popular models such as Fronx, Brezza, and Grand Vitara. The launch of the Victoris reveals Maruti Suzuki’s continued efforts to strengthen its SUV line-up and cater to the increasing demand for a vehicle with exclusive features, fuel efficiency, and value-driven utility vehicles in India.
