Maruti Suzuki Swift 2021 Launched With Additional Features
The Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the facelift version of one of its bestselling hatchbacks Swift in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In its new avatar, Swift receives updates on both the aesthetics front and the safety front. On the exterior front, it receives the new front silver garnished grille with chrome garnished Suzuki logo in the centre. It also receives a dual-tone colour option with a contrast roof. Apart from these notable changes it also receives subtle cosmetic updates to give it a new look.
Under the hook, the new Swift is empowered with a new 1.2-litre Dual Jet VVT petrol engine boosting the power of 88 bhp @6,000 rpm, and the torque of 113Nm @ 4,200 rpm. The company has retained the existing 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine. The new 1.2-litre Dual Jet VVT engine is embellished with the Idle Start Stop (ISS) technology for improved performance, and also the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system for the lower emissions. The new Swift is endorsed to deliver an ARAI approved average of 23.76 kmpl on the AMT version.
The other features offered in the new Swift are key synchronised auto foldable ORVMs, cruise control, a new seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Studio that supports connectivity with an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4.2 – inch MID coloured TFT display and a few more. It also receives upgraded safety features including dual airbags, ABS+EBD, seatbelt reminder for the front seat passengers, reverse parking sensors with a camera, Electronic Stability Program with Hill-Hold feature offered on the AMT trims, bigger brakes, and a few more.
