Mahindra XUV7XO (XUV700 Update) Launched at Rs 13.66 Lakh
The domestic carmaker Mahindra and Mahindra has launched the updated version of the XUV700 SUV in the Indian car market, named as XUV 7XO. The price of XUV 7XO starts from Rs 13.66 lakh and goes high up-to Rs 22.47 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom prices and will be applicable only for the first 40,000 customers, after which regular prices will come into effect.

Compared to the XUV700, the rebranded version XUV 7XO gets notable design enhancements, feature upgrades, and hardware improvements. Test drives for the new SUV will commence on January 8, 2026, while bookings open on January 14, 2026. Deliveries for customers who have pre-booked the SUV will also begin from the same date.
Mahindra XUV 7XO: Design Updates
The updated XUV 7XO sports a refreshed exterior design that gives it a sharper and more premium appearance. The notable changes offered on the exterior version include redesigned headlamp housing with new LED DRLs, a reworked grille with a more mature design, and a newly sculpted front bumper featuring slimmer fog lamps and a silver skid plate.
The side profile is almost the same as the XUV 700, but it now gets 19-inch alloy wheels with an aero-inspired design. At the rear, it, however, carries some visible changes in the form of new tail-lamp housings with a hexagonal pattern, updated bumper styling, and fresh XUV 7XO badging on the tailgate.
Hardware and Safety Enhancements
Mechanically, the XUV 7XO receives more new updates than compared to its predecessor XUV700. XUV 7XO comes equipped with a new ‘Davinci damper’ setup, designed to offer comfortable driving and handling, especially on uneven roads. Similarly, Mahindra has paid equal attention towards the integration of the latest safety features like, ADAS radar and camera systems, further strengthening the vehicle’s driver assistance capabilities.
Features on Offer
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is loaded with premium features, including three 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system, and front passenger display. Other contemporary features include wireless charging for both front and rear seats (with active cooling), dual-zone climate control, Boss mode, ventilated seats, and second-row slide and recline function. The SUV also comes equipped with Alexa and ChatGPT integration, a Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos-supported 16-speaker audio system, and an enhanced panoramic sunroof with UV protection. Additional features include powered front seats with memory, ambient lighting, a 540-degree camera, connected car technology, and Level 2+ ADAS.
Powertrain Options
Under the hood, theXUV 7XO continues to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is available on the top-spec variant.
Variants and Pricing
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is available in AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T, and AX7L variants. Prices start at Rs 13.66 lakh for the AX petrol manual and Rs 14.96 lakh for the AX diesel variant. The AX7 diesel manual is priced at Rs 18.95 lakh, while the top-spec AX7L diesel manual costs Rs 22.47 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra has confirmed that AX7, AX7T, and AX7L variants will be delivered first, while deliveries of AX, AX3, and AX5 variants will begin from April 2026.
