Mahindra to Unveil FREEDOM_NU SUVs on Independence Day
The domestic carmaker Mahindra is ready to make a huge leap on August 15, 2025, under its upcoming “FREEDOM_NU” event. Reports suggest that the domestic carmaker will unveil three new concept vehicles during the event to be held in Mumbai. Industry experts believe that it would be a bold step for Mahindra & Mahindra in reshaping its future SUV lineup. In a recent update, the carmaker has three concept models — Vision.T, Vision.S, and Vision.SXT. The carmaker aims to work on a long-term strategy of manufacturing products that are offensive for the current decade, and these upcoming unveilings are expected to offer a preview of its evolving design and technological direction.
A Glimpse into Mahindra’s Future
According to official teasers, the new concept cars will share both electric and internal combustion engine platforms. Sources related to the event suggest that at least four different concepts will be showcased during the Mumbai event. Apart from this, the company also plans to unveil a brand-new vehicle architecture, marking a major milestone in its technological advancement.
Mahindra Vision.T: A Nod to the Thar.e
The Vision.T teaser represents a bold and boxy SUV design architecture. The SUV seems to be inspired by the previously revealed Thar.e electric concept. Mahindra had earlier presented the Thar.e along with the Scorpio N Pickup truck. The Scorpion N Pickup truck is expected to arrive in 2026. In the new teaser, Vision.T displays a similar robust design, with a chunky bumper, sculpted bonnet, and rugged, off-road-focused tyres. However, notable changes in the bumper and wheel arches make it look different from the Thar.e.
Mahindra Vision.S: Muscular and Modern
The Vision.S concept teaser reveals a top-down view with bold proportions and a caption promising a “muscular presence.” Industry experts believe that this could be a preview of the next-generation Bolero Neo. Although nothing much has been disclosed by the company about this concept, it is expected to be offered in petrol, diesel, and possibly electric variants. It is also anticipated that Mahindra might introduce hybrid technology into this lineup.
Mahindra Vision.SXT: Rugged Redefined
Moving towards the Vision.SXT teaser, it looks like an adventure-ready SUV featuring bonnet locks, bold character lines, and an aggressively styled bumper. From the teaser, it is believed that the vehicle is developed for rugged terrain and a modern lifestyle.

Mahindra’s August 15 event is going to be an important moment for the brand, assuring its objective of marking its presence in both conventional and electric SUV segments. With the FREEDOM_NU showcase, the automaker aims to set the tone for its future portfolio while reinforcing its commitment to innovation, performance, and sustainability.
