Mahindra Readying To Showcase Thar Electric In Global Event
The global event of the domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra, scheduled to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, on August 15, 2023, is one of the most awaited events of the year. During the event, the carmaker showcases a glimpse of its upcoming vehicles. A recent update coming out from Mahindra’s camp is that it is going to showcase the electric version of its best-selling SUV Thar during the event. This news came out, just a day after the company assured to unveil the Scorpio N pickup truck in the event.
It is believed, that the electric version of the Thar may come with a bunch of advanced features like a crab walk or crab steer feature, allowing all four wheels at an angle of 45 degrees. This feature is no less than a blessing during an off-driving landscape. It also allows to park the vehicle even in less space. Along with this, the vehicle can be turned 360 degrees according to driving conditions. This can attract buyers looking to enjoy a new driving experience. Moving ahead, one more thing that is notable about Mahindra Thar Electronic is that it can mated with a quad-motor setup. This quad-motor set configuration is more powerful than the dual-motor setup available in 4WD electric vehicles. The integration of this motor setup makes the Electric Thar more powerful than the ICE-powered 4x4 Thar.
Speaking about the launch of the Thar Electronic, with Mahindra working to launch the Scorpio N pickup truck in 2024, it is unclear when the company will finally launch it. However, keeping the performance and popularity of Thar in concern it is believed that the company might launch the electronic Thar sometime during 2024.
