Indian Auto Expo 2016: Receives a mind blowing start
Finally the wait of highly awaited event of the year, the pilgrimage for every car manufacturer got over when the curtain of 13th edition of Indian Auto Expo got folded up early this morning under focusing lights and thousands of cameras flashing their lights on first look of new vehicles being introduced by major car maker receiving huge round of claps by audiences. Undoubtedly, no event can receive such a sensational start better than this. The morning session witnessed showcase of following vehicles by car makers.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Being the leading car manufacturer of country, eyes of all segments in Indian car market are mainly on the stand of MSIL. Although there are about four products in the line-up of company for today that will be showcase during the show including Vitara Brezza, Ignis concept, Baleno RS and Alto 800 diesel. But the first one to come out from the bag of MSIL was highly awaited sub-compact SUV Vitara Brezza which will be pitted against recently introduced Mahindra TUV300 and Ford EcoSport. It will be offered in diesel variant energized with 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine boosting he power of 88.5 bhp and torque of 200 Nm, it will be available in six trims comprising of LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+.
Hyundai Tucson: Well still there are some stunning products to come out from the bag of country’s leading car manufacturer, HMIL the second largest car maker in country and tough contender of MSIL is also not leaving any stone unturned and is all set to break the myth of MSIL for introducing user friendly vehicles to buyers. The first one to be introduced by Korean car maker is generation third premium compact SUV Tucson which will be launched to bridge the gap between Creta and Santa Fe. Developed on company’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 (FS2.0) design philosophy the compact SUV gives a glimpse of its Santa Fe at first instance.
Hyundai HNB14 aka Carlino conceptual compact SUV: To fill the gap between Creta and i20 Active, HMIL the Indian alliance of Korean car maker has also showcased its future conceptual compact SUV codenamed as HNB14 to be christened as Carlino during the show. Developed on the platform of Grand i10, the sub compact SUV continues its hereditary trapezoidal front grille at front fascia equipped with head lamps on both sides.
Chevrolet Essentia: Exposing its plans for Indian car market the US based car maker showcased its new sub compact sedan to be named as Essentia among the audiences, with speculation of strengthening its roots in India. Developed on platform used for manufacturing Beat hatchback the compact sedan will be offered in 1.2 litre STEC II petrol and 1.0 litre XSDE diesel engines. These engines will churn the power of 77bhp and 56 bhp respectively.
Chevrolet Beat Active: Along with sub compact sedan Essentia the American car maker also showcased the generation next Beat hatchback to be named as Chevrolet Beat Active during the show.
Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Adventure Utility Vehicle: Japanese car maker Isuzu showcased its new utility vehicle D-Max C-Cross Adventure utility vehicle.
Well, these unveils are just an illustrations of new surprises which will come out in later part of first day and in coming days.
