Indian Auto Expo 2016: Maruti Suzuki might launch facelift of Alto 800
It is reported that country’s leading car manufacturer is secretly working on developing the facelift version of its best performing hatchback Alto 800 and might introduce the same during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016. According to reports the facelift version of Alto 800 might undergo subtle changes and at present is going under test drives.
To began with changes, the facelift Alto 800 will continue with existing engine configuration of 796 cc engine, it also reported that this time car maker might introduce diesel variant also in facelift version of Alto 800 which will be equipped with 0.8 two cylinder turbocharged diesel engine churning the power of 47 bhp and torque of 125Nm. The same diesel engine is offered in diesel variant of Celerio hatchback. As far as other cosmetic changes are concerned according to reports the new disguise of Alto 800 will get newly developed bumpers on both front and rear side followed by newly designed headlight and tail light at both the ends.
According to reports the refreshed version of Alto 800 will deliver better fuel efficiency results and it is also possible that Indo-Japanese car makers might introduce AMT transmission system also in facelift version of Alto 800. After launch it will fight against Datsun Go, Hyundai Eon and Tata Nano.
