Indian Auto Expo 2016: Honda confirms the unveil of BR-V compact sedan
After successful showcase of India bound compact sedan BR-V during the Thailand International Motor Expo recently, HCIL the Indian arm of Japanese car maker Honda Motors is all set to showcase the same during the forthcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016. News regarding this was confirmed by Katushi Inoune, President and CEO, HCIL saying “that the company is planning to launch the BR-V compact SUV to India in 2016”. After launch in Indian car market company will introduce this compact SUV in various South and East Asian countries by the end of this year. Recently company has released its TVC detailing most of its internal features.
As reported earlier the version of BR-V showcased during the Thailand Motor Show was its petrol trim which was powered by 1.5 Litre, i-VTEC petrol engine carried from premium sedan City. This engine will be coated with six speed manual gear transmission system and also with CVT automatic transmission system in top end variants. On the other side for Indian car market car maker will also bring diesel trim which will carry same engine configuration of 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine as offered in other diesel cars of maker.
Based on “Active Solid Motion” theme the front fascia of this will receive enlarge chrome plated grille, which in fact has become the identity of Honda Cars. The grille is further decorated with LED projector head lamps. The area for fog lamps has been garnished with chrome finish. Other exterior features include electronic ORMs integrated with turn indicators, roof rails and many more. Moving ahead the aero dynamic look further enhances the appearance of this compact SUV. Inside the cabin you will find black colored sportier dashboard, 6.1 inch audio visual system supporting connectivity with your smartphone. According to sources of company with an objective to offer comfort seating experience to passengers the interiors of this compact have been developed with spacious cabin.
