Indian Auto Expo 2016: Honda Accord to be showcased in New Avtar
It is reported that Japanese auto giant Honda has confirmed that it will reintroduce its luxury Sedan, Honda Accord in Indian Car Market next year. The premium sedan had been, discontinued by car maker due to poor sales and high price. Prior to the launch, it is speculated that carmaker will first showcase the sedan in upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo scheduled to held in February at Delhi.
In generation next version Honda Accord will be available in two trims featuring 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine and 3.5-litre V6 engine mated with 5 speed automatic and manual transmission. Apart from this It is rumoured that Honda will also introduce one new variant in its existing portfolio, named as Accord Hybrid which will be powered by a four-cylinder 2.0-litre engine combined with 124 kW electric motor boosting the power of 196bhp.
In its refreshed version Honda Accord gets enhanced front and rear bumper, newly designed front end featuring headlight and grills, 19-inch alloy wheels and taillight powered by LED tech. Inside the cabin sedan features 7-inch touchscreen audio display and warmed back seats.
With the re-launch of refreshed Accord in India, Japanese carmaker will likewise make its rebound in luxury segment which they had lost before with suspension of Accord from Indian market. Once launch in Indian Car market Honda Accord will go up against the likes of Skoda Laura and Toyota Camry.
