Indian Auto Expo 2016: Datsun Confirms to unveil Redi-Go Hatchback
Datsun the subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan Motors had launched first two products of its portfolio in form of Go Hatchback and Go+ MPV consecutively in 2014 and 2015. Now in third year of its existence the car maker is all set of showcase its least priced hatchback Redi-Go during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016 slated to be held in February. The hatchback has been developed on CMF-A platform which is followed by French car maker in its recently launched hatchback Kwid. According to reports after unveiling the hatchback during Auto Expo 2016, the Japanese car maker will launch the car during the festive season at the end of this year.
Mechanically the Redi-Go will be embellished with three cylinder petrol engine and mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. It is speculated that going through the increasing trend of integration of Automated Manual Transmission System in cars Redi-Go might also be offered with AMT system. As far as price aspect is concerned going through 95% localization of hatchback in country it might be priced below Rs. 4 lakh in Indian car market.
The hatchback has been caught under the lenses while going under test drives many times. It would be interested to know that going through the not so encouraging response from buyers towards Go and Go+, Redi-Go has huge responsibility on its shoulders to strengthen the position of car maker in Indian car market and succeed in impressing the targeted audiences for which it has been specifically developed. According to pictures revealed so for in cyber world indicate that this low priced hatchback will carry same looks as showcased in its conceptual version during the last Indian Auto Expo held in 2014.
