Images of 2021 Volkswagen Polo Surface Online
The 2021 Volkswagen Polo is slated to make its global debut sometime during this month. Before that, the images of the proposed model have surfaced online giving the complete details of the features that would be offered in the new Polo. The sixth generation of Polo was launched back in 2017 and after that, it is for the first that the hatchback has been given a major update. It would be interesting to know that in India the company is still selling the fifth generation of the Polo and the sixth generation has yet to make its entrance in the Indian car market. Therefore, it is not clear that whether India will receive the updated version of Polo or not.
To begin with, the mechanical changes that would be introduced in the Polo 2021 it is reported that in the global market it would be offered in both petrol and diesel variants. The details of both the engine configurations are yet to be revealed. It is rumoured that in India the company will launch this version in 2022. It is believed that the Indian-Specific version would be developed on the MQB A0 IN platform and equipped with the same existing 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine.
Inside the cabin, it will receive major changes in the form of a new steering wheel, touchscreen climate control buttons, and a large infotainment system. The gear level will be offered with P-R-N-D-S control buttons offered on it. Apart from these changes, it will also receive, lots of driver assistance features, a dual-zone control system, keyless entry, wireless charging system, advanced connected technology, push-button start and a few more.
On the exterior front, it will receive the features like new dual-beam headlamps with LED DRLs. The front bumper has been upgraded with new looks, new alloy wheels. On the rear front, it will receive split LED taillights. The logo of the company has been studded on the middle of the boot lid.
