Hyundai i20 Prices Slashed, Starts At Rs 5.99 Lakh
Hyundai Motor India has slashed the prices of the 2026 i20 in the Indian market. The new price starts from Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With this update, the premium hatchback becomes more accessible to entry-level buyers, strengthening its position in a highly competitive segment. It should be important to know that the company has not made any cosmetic and mechanical changes as an impact of the price cut.
Under the hood, the 2026 Hyundai i20 continues with the 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 88 hp and 114 Nm of torque, paired with either a manual transmission or iVT. In the Indian market, the i20 competes with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz.
The entry-level i20 Era variant, now priced at Rs 5.99 lakh, continues to come with the existing safety and comfort features. Standard features include six airbags, a digital instrument cluster, front and rear skid plates, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, Type-C USB charging ports, and telescopic steering adjustment, making it one of the better-equipped base variants in its class.
Moving ahead, the Indian arm of the Korean carmaker, Hyundai, has reduced prices for other trims as well. The i20 Magna Executive is now priced at Rs 6.74 lakh, while the Magna variant costs Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier, these variants were priced at Rs 6.87 lakh and Rs 7.12 lakh, respectively. Interestingly, the Magna Executive variant now receives additional features such as a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), automatic headlights, keyless entry, power-adjustable ORVMs, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, a shark fin antenna, and telescopic steering, making it a compelling value-for-money option.
Following the same updates, the Magna variant also receives additional features, including an electric sunroof, LED DRLs, rear AC vents, and a front armrest with storage, catering to buyers seeking enhanced comfort and convenience.
