Hyundai Creta Tops Sales for Third Month in a Row

The Hyundai Creta has succeeded in retaining its top position for the third month in a row. According to recent reports, with 15,786 units sold in June 2025, the popular compact SUV has dominated the compact SUV segment in the fiercely competitive Indian auto market. The compact SUV Creta was launched in the Indian car market in 2015 and since then it has been a preferred choice among Indian car buyers. While Creta is celebrating its 10th anniversary in India this year, emerging as the best-selling SUV in the first half of 2025, it is enough to reveal its charm. Thanks to its striking design, spacious interiors, feature-rich cabin, and multiple powertrain options.

Commenting on the milestone, Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., stated, “Creta is not just a product, it is an emotion for over 1.2 million Indian families. Over the last decade, brand Creta has consistently redefined the SUV space and remained a strong pillar of Hyundai’s growth in India. Becoming the bestselling model in June 2025, exactly as it completes 10 years in the country, is a testament to the love and trust that Indian customers have placed in the brand.”. Garg also highlighted that since its launch, the Creta has remained the highest-selling mid-size SUV every year.
 
Hyundai Creta: Powertrain & Features
The Hyundai Creta is offered with three engine options including
A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (113 bhp/144 Nm) mated with a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission system.
A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit (158 bhp/253 Nm) mated with 7-speed DCT or 6-speed manual (N-Line)
A 1.5-litre diesel engine (114 bhp/250 Nm) offered with an option of both manual and automatic transmission systems.
 
Inside the cabin, the SUV is enriched with premium features including a dual 10.25-inch screen integrated with an infotainment display and digital instrument cluster. The system supports connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The list of other features includes:
Dual-zone automatic climate control
8-speaker Bose sound system
Panoramic sunroof
Wireless charging
Ventilated front seats and powered driver’s seat
 
Hyundai Creta: Pricing
The Creta range starts at Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base 1.5 MPi MT E petrol variant. The top-end diesel model, Creta 1.5 CRDi AT SX(O) Knight Dual Tone, is priced at Rs 20.40 lakh.
Diesel variants begin at Rs 12.68 lakh
Petrol automatic variants from Rs 14.37 lakh
Diesel automatic options start at Rs 17.85 lakh
