Honda launches Accord Hybrid, priced Rs. 37 lakh
Japanese car maker Honda Motors has launched the Hybrid version of its luxurious flagship sedan Accord in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 37 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). It is the ninth generation of Accord which has made its refreshed debut in Indian car market. The first generation of Accord was launched late back in 2001. In India the sedan will be brought through Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. The Accord Hybrid is about Rs. 6 lakh costly than its strong contender Toyota Camry Hybrid.
Under the hood, Accord Hybrid is enriched with 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder, naturally aspirated internal combustion engine mated with an electronic motor enriched with 1.3 Kilowatt/h lithium-ion battery. The petrol engine churns power of 145 bhp and torque of 175Nm, while the electronic motor generates the power of 184bhp and torque of 315Nm. It is endorsed to deliver an average of 23.1 kmpl. The exterior profile of Accord Hybrid receives aggressive and dynamic appearance in form of sportier bumper at front followed by integration of glossy black elements in centre, chrome and black grille, DRLs, LED fog-lamps, full LED head lamps, 18 inch dual tones diamond cut wheels.
On the rear portion also it receives newly developed rear bumper, built in boot spoiler, LED combinational tail lamps and few more. To reveal that the running version of Accord is its hybrid trim the headlamps and tail lamps are developed with dark blue accents. It is offered with four color option of Lunar Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, and White Orchid Pearl.
On the interior portion you will find two centralized screens comprising of infotainment system and another one placed at little distance from it revealing engine modes and other information pertaining with driving execution. Other accessories introduced inside the cabin are two stage climate control, sun-roof, passenger side camera, and interestingly Apply CarPlay and Android Auto feature.
