Force India targets German Grand Prix

Vijay Mallya the chairman of Force India is expecting his team will bring out some positive results in the second half of this year’s season. Vijay Mallya is pretty confident and feels that the German grand prix is the perfect time for his team to bring out results as it is the midway of the season and his team can now correct themselves and see to it that they don’t repeat the mistakes that previously occurred this season. Even after all that Dr Mallya is very much aware of how going toe to toe with the closest competitors Toro Rosso and Sauber is a difficult task ahead of them.

Mallya also discussed Force India’s performance in the British Grand Prix and called it a missed opportunity. He believes it was hard luck looking back at Silverstone where the confusion on the pit wall led to an excellent qualifying performance not get converted into points but according to him they need to leave all that behind them and make sure such mistakes never happen in the future.

Dr. Mallya is also happy that even though British Grand Prix was an event of hard luck they can take a lot of positivity from that race and use it in the future and the coming races. He believes that over the last few races Force India have shown that they are very much capable of qualifying for each race and qualifying in the top 10 and now it’s time to deliver in the races where it matters the most. He also feels that the track is very challenging too as it has variety of corners: high, medium and low speed and also it is very important that the car being driven is well balanced to handle the challenges present in the track. He also said that it is a smooth track with not many bumps.

Sutils’s team mate Paul Di Resta is also pretty confident and pumped up for this race and believes that they can do well however he has never raced at Nurburgring in F1.According to him the place has an unpredictable weather.

Paul Di Resta has been to Nurburgring various times but has never raced in F1 and also he has never raced on a full Grand Prix track and says that he only knows part of the circuit but is pretty sure that the weather will play a major role in the race as the unpredictable weather is sometimes cold and sometimes rainy. This could be a major factor just like Silverstone.

He’s quite confident going into this race especially after strong qualifying in Valencia and Silverstone earlier this year. Paul wants his team to maintain the same pace and show positivity in this race.

He also feels that the crowd here will have to do a lot to match the crowd at Silverstone as the crowd at Silverstone was very special according to him.
